Steps
- 1
Wash pawa thoroughly and soak in half a cup water. Set aside for 5 minutes.
In a bowl add the rest of the ingredients. Mix well and add pawa and make a soft dough. (If extra water is required add little at a time.) - 2
Knead the dough and smother some oil so it does not stick. Make equal size balls and roll it out.
- 3
On a hot tawa or pan place the dhebra. Flip when one side is partly cooked, about quarter cooked. You will see some faint air pockets on the top and this is the time when you need to flip it.
- 4
Spread oil on this side. Flip the dhebra again when the second side is half-cooked. You can press lightly with a spatula to get nice golden spots. Now spread the oil on this side. Flip a couple of times till you get golden spots and the dhebra is evenly cooked.
