Preheat oven at 180 °C and grease 2, 8inch cake pans

In a mixer, cream the margarine and sugar for 5 minutes using medium to high speed. Scrap down the bowl in between

Reduce the speed and add the eggs one at a time until incorporated.

Add sieved and mixed dry ingredients in 3 portions and the milk in 2 portions. Start with flour and finish with flour. Donot overmix

Divide the cake batter into 2 portions. And and the vanilla and strawberry flavours.

Pour the flavoured batter into the baking pans and bake for 25 minutes.

Insert a stick amd if it comes out clean and the cake springs back when pressed lightly, the cake is ready. Cool before decorating.
