I inspired this recipe from my grandma and i dedicated to her and friends who are going to celebrate diwali in this diwali season..

Boil potatoes, peel them and take them in a blender, add little water and puree till smooth.

Slowly add in water and knead to a soft dough.

Heat oil for deep frying.

Now take your idiyappam press, and place a thenkuzhal achu in it. Put the dough in and make murukku.

Now drop murukku in oil and fry till the bubbles subside. Drain it.

Cool this and store it in an air-tight container.

If you want spicy then add 1tspn chili powder to the mixture and make this process again
