Ingredients

  1. 1medium size radish
  2. 3-4tomatoes
  3. 1 handfulfresh green peas
  4. 2 Tsprefined oil
  5. 1/3 Tspponch phutan
  6. 1 pinchhing
  7. 4-5curry leaves
  8. 1dry red chilli
  9. 1green chilli
  10. 1/2 Tspgrated ginger
  11. 1/3 Tspturmeric powder
  12. 1/2 Tspsalt
  13. 1 Tbspsugar powder/ jaggery
  14. 1/2 Tsproasted cumin powder
  15. Grated coconut (optional)

Steps

  1. 1

    After washing, remove the skin of the radish. Chop in the round. Chop tomatoes. Boil radish 3/4 th in 1.5 cups of water.

    Heat oil. Add hing and ponch phutan and allow the phutan to splutter.

    Then saute curry leaves and both the chilli.

    Add grated ginger, chopped tomatoes and green peas and saute till tomatoes soften.

    Mix turmeric powder, salt and boiled radish chunks.

    Add water boiled with radish, sugar powder and mix well. Allow to boil for 1-2 minutes, garnish with roasted cumin powder,chopped coriander leaves and serve.
