Ingredients

a few minutes
Serves 2 servings
  • 1 teaspoonground cinnamon
  • 2 cupsalmond milk (about 500 ml)
  • 3 1/2 ouncesbittersweet or dark chocolate, chopped (about 100 grams)
  • About 10 mini marshmallows
  • Unsweetened cocoa powder, for dusting
  • 2long cinnamon sticks, for serving (optional)
  • For the clementine syrup
  • 2 tablespoonssuperfine sugar
  • Finely grated zest and freshly squeezed juice of 2 clementines

Steps

    Start by making the clementine syrup. Place the sugar, clementine zest, and juice in a small saucepan and simmer over low heat until the sugar dissolves and the liquid becomes syrupy. Let cool slightly.

    Strain the cooled syrup into a clean saucepan and add the ground cinnamon, almond milk, and chopped chocolate.

  3. 3

    Simmer over low heat until the chocolate is melted, whisking gently to combine and froth the milk.

  4. 4

    Pour the hot chocolate into 2 mugs and top with a layer of mini marshmallows.

  5. 5

    Dust with cocoa powder and place a cinnamon stick in each mug.

  6. 6

    Serve immediately.
