Rajma, probably the most loved side dish in NorthIndia, can be made in numerous ways. This recipe is a simple way of making Rajma gravy with readily available ingredients at home.

Rajma, probably the most loved side dish in NorthIndia, can be made in numerous ways. This recipe is a simple way of making Rajma gravy with readily available ingredients at home.

Heat oil, add bayleaf, cumin seeds, once crackle, add onion and sauté. Once onion is transparent, add ginger garlic paste and sauté for few minutes until raw smell is gone.

Now add the rajma, salt, turmeric, coriander powder and mix. Let it cook for few mins then add tomato paste and kasoori methi. Add some water and let everything combine.

If Rajma is cooked properly, should be done in 10 mins. Mash few rajma with the spoon, making this will thicken the gravy. Add garam masala and switch off flame. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves.
