  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tbspChilli powder
  • 1 tspCumin seeds
  • 2Cinnamon sticks
  • 1/2 tspBlack peppercorns
  • 2Star anise
  • 1 cupPeas
  • 2-3Potatoes
  • 2-3Capsicums
  • 2-3Carrots
  • 1 cupCabbage
  • 4 tbspSoya sauce
  • 2 tbspVinegar
  • 1 tspChilli flakes
  • 4 tbspChilli sauce
  • 11/2 tspBlack pepper
  • 2 glassesRice
  • 1/2 cupCoriander leaves
  • Mint leaves a handful
  • 1/4 tspYellow colour

Steps

  1. 1

    Soak rice for few hours.

    Peel and dice the potatoes.

    Chop all the vegetables.

    Dilute colour in little water.

    Heat oil in a pan.

    Add in onion and fry till light golden.

    Add in chicken and fry till it changes colour.

    Add in ginger garlic and fry well.

    Add in yoghurt and all the spices.

    Stir them well.

    Add in all the vegetables and mix well.

    Add in all the sauces,chilli flakes and black pepper.

    Mix them all well.

    Cook covered till chicken and vegetables are tender.

    Add in rice and cook till water dries up.

    Add in coriander,mint and colour.

    Cook covered on dum for 15 minutes.
