We all know the importance of food and that's why we always try not to waste food and for this as a responsible home maker, we have to try to use the leftover food. Sometimes makeover of leftover becomes a hit recipe and we start making it regularly.
Here I have made rice burfi /fudge from leftover rice. One who loves kheer/rice pudding will definitely like this soft and melt in mouth delicacy.

Here I have made rice burfi /fudge from leftover rice. One who loves kheer/rice pudding will definitely like this soft and melt in mouth delicacy.

Mix rice, milk and sugar. Heat one tsp ghee in a pan and add this mixture and let it cook on medium flame till it becomes little thick.

Add saffron and cook more till it leaves the sides of the pan. Add one tsp ghee, cardamom powder and dryfruits. I have added only almond flakes.

Once done, turn off the heat and transfer it to a greased plate. Once it comes to room temperature keep it in the refrigerator for few hours to set. Then cut it in desired shape.

Served chilled.
