Today I have made tasty delicious bottle gourd peels bata. It's basically a traditional Bengali recipe . Bottle gourd peels bata makes a perfect side dish with rice. It goes best with hot steamed rice with drizzle of some raw mustard oil.

Today I have made tasty delicious bottle gourd peels bata. It's basically a traditional Bengali recipe . Bottle gourd peels bata makes a perfect side dish with rice. It goes best with hot steamed rice with drizzle of some raw mustard oil.

First nicely wash the bottle gourd then peel off with piller, peel them thicker than normal and again wash nicely. Take a grinder jar add all bottle gourd peels, green chillies, ginger, garlic and blend it with little water into a smooth paste.

Heat mustard oil in a kadai add nigella seeds and saute few seconds then add grounded peels mixture paste, salt and sugar and cook on medium heat.

Once dry up mixture then add poppy seeds paste and mustard seeds paste mix it well and cook on low flame until the mixture becomes dry. Bottle gourd peels bata is ready.

Serve with hot steam rice.
