Tater tots chaat

Chaat of any sort is a must for iftar during Ramadan. Even on non-Ramadan days, no one can say NO to a good bowl of chaat. I know I can’t!

Chaat is essentially a sweet-spicy savory salad that can be served as a snack or light meal. Some like to serve it as appetizer but not me. Chaat is often sold as a street food by vendors on carts. They are most popular with ladies.
Some of the classic chaat include lip-smacking gol gappay or pain puri, papdi chaat, bhel puri, aloo chana dahi chaat, chana chaat, samosa chaat aloo chaat, fruit chaat etc.
These chaats are especially enjoyed on a rainy day with a hot cup of tea. The fruit chaat can be served for dessert also but I would not recommend it.
This Tater Tots Chaat is a twist on the aloo chana chaat. Just like the classic chaat, it is loaded with incredible flavours and texture. It is sweet, spicy and tangy. Instead of using boiled cubed potatoes or boiled potatoes that have been fried to golden crispy texture, store bought tater tots are used as the base for the chaat. Serve this different version of chaat for iftar this Ramadan. It is such a fun fusion chaat recipe that everyone will love. The best part is that it is customizable to everyone’s palate and tastes
