Indian Plum Chutney is a great addition to a wide range of Pickles and Chutneys relished in our Country with an umpteen number of dishes each single day. We Indians love it on any day for Breakfast, Lunch or Dinner and even at Tea-time with a plate of homemade Pakoras with a tangy and a zingy Chutney alongside as a lovely Snack idea.
Be it a 4 pm Tea-time on a weekend or a special holiday or even when it's pouring outside, snacking is a must.
And with a cartload of different Chaats and streetfood around us, it should not come as a surprise. With this super easy and a delicious Chutney with Indian Plums, it's a winner all the way. It's tangy, it's sweet and it's perfectly flavourful oozing with an aroma of the Mustard seeds, Curry Leaves and the Garlic.
You will just love it on your plate. Relish it with Rotis, Phulkas, Parathas, Steamed Rice or even a Pulao. Cumin Rice, Ghee Rice or Poha as well as Bagara or Masala Rice too taste awesome with this Chutney.

Steps
- 1
Heat oil in a kadai. Add mustard seeds at first. Let them crackle before you add curry leaves and garlic cloves. Saute on a low heat until it changes it's colour a bit and smells good.
- 2
Now is the time to add chopped Plums and the rest of the powdered spices too. Mix well and let it cook for a good 15 minutes on a low heat until done. Don't forget to cover it with a lid.
- 3
At last after it's ready, add some jaggery into it. Mix and it's perfectly done. Serve this tantalizing chutney alongside rotis and steamed rice. Enjoy! Yum!
- 4
It can be stored for a Week in the refrigerator and for Months in the freezer. That question arises only when it's left but it's really difficult to say that it would be left to store. Make it fresh whenever needed for an amazing treat to our tastebuds.
