  2. 4 slicesbacon
  3. 3fresh shiitake mushrooms
  4. 1/2 teaspoonblack pepper
  5. 1 tablespoonsoy sauce
  6. 2 teaspoonsoyster sauce
  7. 2 teaspoonshoney
  8. 1/4 cupwater

    Wash the asparagus and trim off the tough ends. Gather 4-5 stalks together. Cut the bacon slices in half and wrap them tightly around the asparagus. Set aside.

    (If using regular thick asparagus, trim the tough ends and peel the stalks.)

    Fry the bacon-wrapped asparagus in a pan without oil over low heat. Slowly cook until the bacon is golden brown, turning the asparagus to crisp all sides. Once done, set aside.

    In the same pan, use the bacon fat to sauté the sliced fresh shiitake mushrooms until cooked. Add all remaining ingredients and stir to combine.
