Chocolate Cranberry Fudge Cake

A few years ago, my work donated to employees Thanksgiving Day baskets. Inside was a can of cranberry sauce. I'm not a fan but don't like food to go to waste. On the back of the can was this cake recipe, and I said, "Why not." I liked this cake so much, I now make it every year. #KeepRecipesAlive

Ingredients

40 minutes
about 8 servings
  1. 2/3 cupsemisweet chocolate chips
  2. 1 stickbutter
  3. 1 ounceunsweetened chocolate powder
  4. 1 canjellied cranberry sauce
  5. 1/2 cupwhite sugar
  6. 2large eggs
  7. 1 teaspoonvanilla extract
  8. 3/4 cupall purpose flour
  9. 1/2 teaspoonbaking powder

Cooking Instructions

40 minutes

    Preheat oven to 325. Line a 8 inch cake pan with foil and spray with cooking spray

    Microwave chips, butter, and unsweetened cocoa for one minute. Take out and stir till smoothe, then Microwave 30 more seconds

    Add to mixture cranberry sauce and white sugar stir well

  4. 4

    Add egg, flour, baking powder and vanilla extract and stir well.

  5. 5

    Pour into pan and bake about 40 min. Remove and let cool for 30 min, then refrigerate it for an hour before serving.
