#dip
A classic Middle Eastern Dip that is popular all over the World with healthy Avocado for a nice change. With super yummy and creamy Hass Avocados, it becomes an equally super healthy and a nutritious Hummus. It can be used as a spread on Sandwiches or served warm with Pita and Breadsticks. An eons-old Middle Eastern Dip that is loved by many for it's creamy, velvety smooth texture and taste, is easy to be whipped up at home. The trick lies behind the right blending. A constant blitz with Olive oil added little by little without adding all at a time is actually the correct way of doing it. It takes about a good 15 minutes of blitz with an interval of a few seconds after every 4 minutes. Try this beautiful Dip for your families at home and experience for yourselves the lovely taste of it.

Steps

20 minutes
  1. 1

If using fresh one's, soak the chickpeas overnight or for 6 hours at the least. Boil or pressure cook chickpeas with a little salt. Or if using canned one's, then there is absolutely no need of that. Just pass them through the strainer and use as required.

  2. 2

To a blender, add these boiled Chickpeas and the other ingredients as well except the Olive oil. Blend until smooth and velvety.

  3. 3

Scrape the sides as you blend and keep adding Olive oil little at a time for a smooth satin-like Hummus.

  4. 4

Drizzle some extra Olive oil and sliced Kalamata Olives before serving. Or just plain Sumac. Or even Sesame Seeds. It's absolutely your choice. Enjoy!

Homemaker by choice and a passionate cook by heart. An aspiring cook who actually never knew anything about Cooking until i became a mother myself. With Motherhood came the responsibilities as well and this was the turning point in my life.I started to learn the ABC's of cooking, taking help from my mother and my MIL. And time just flew. I spread my wings higher and higher. With my love for excellence and innovation, i stepped into a world of homecooks with my exposure to Cookpad one fine day on the social media. And there was no looking back since then and i have not only shared recipes here on this wonderful platform but also have made some lovely friends as well. Today iam successful because of my hard work, dedication and loads of good wishes of my family and my kids in particular.
