Homemade Kokum Sharbat
Steps
- 1
First, wash the kokum fruits, wipe them clean and cut them into half. Remove the white part of the seeds and squeeze only the juice.
- 2
Then add sugar to these in kokum bowls as shown in pic. and fill all the kokum bowls. Do not add even a drop of water to this mixture. Then put these all to a big glass jar and tie a thin cloth over the pot and keep it in the sun for 7 days. Shake it up and down in between, so that the sugar does not settle down.
- 3
On the 8th day, squeeze the syrup and strain it using sieve. Keep it in a glass bottle.
- 4
For making the Kokum Sharbat, add 2 tablespoons of this kokum syrup to it as needed, add cold water and salt to taste and serve the tasty Kokum Sharbat chilled.
