Zaru Soba

With some reasons, many Japanese people often have craving for Soba. I do sometimes have craving for ‘Zaru Soba’, especially on a hot day or when I am tired after a long trip. This dish might be one of our soul foods.

Steps
- 1
Cook Soba Noodles as instructed. DO NOT add salt into the water.
- 2
Then drain, rinse well in COLD water, and drain well again.
- 3
Serve the noodles with the Mentsuyu (Dipping Sauce) and Yakumi.
- 4
I often serve this dish with 'Kakiage Tempura' so that the meal can be nutritious and more filling for my children. For Kakiage Tempura recipe, see http://www.hirokoliston.com/kakiage/
