Instead of pork, I used sausages to make these skewers.

Cut the onion into quarters lengthwise to make 4 wedges. Thread 2 sausages and a piece of onion onto each skewer.

In a bowl, mix the flour, egg, a pinch of salt, and enough water to make a smooth, runny batter. Dip the skewers into the batter.

Coat the battered skewers with breadcrumbs, then fry them in hot oil until golden brown.
