Start by making garlic rice. Feel free to use your favorite method.

Finely chop the garlic. Heat some olive oil (not listed in ingredients) in a frying pan and sauté the garlic until fragrant.

Add the rice and stir-fry. If using cold rice, let it heat up, then add the butter and continue stir-frying.

If you’re using your own garlic rice, start from this step.

Add the curry to the rice and stir-fry. Use a generous amount and cook until the moisture evaporates and the mixture thickens for a richer flavor.

Once the mixture is thick and most of the moisture is gone, transfer it to a plate.

Top the rice with a thin omelet made from the egg, drizzle with ketchup, and serve.
