Ingredients

Serves 1 serving
  1. About 1 serving cooked rice (leftover or cold rice is fine)
  2. 1generous amount of leftover curry (more than you’d use for curry rice is recommended)
  3. 1 clovegarlic
  4. 2 teaspoonsbutter (about 10 grams; optional)
  5. 1egg

Steps

    Start by making garlic rice. Feel free to use your favorite method.

  2. 2

    Finely chop the garlic. Heat some olive oil (not listed in ingredients) in a frying pan and sauté the garlic until fragrant.

  3. 3

    Add the rice and stir-fry. If using cold rice, let it heat up, then add the butter and continue stir-frying.

  4. 4

    If you’re using your own garlic rice, start from this step.

  5. 5

    Add the curry to the rice and stir-fry. Use a generous amount and cook until the moisture evaporates and the mixture thickens for a richer flavor.

  6. 6

    Once the mixture is thick and most of the moisture is gone, transfer it to a plate.

  7. 7

    Top the rice with a thin omelet made from the egg, drizzle with ketchup, and serve.
