Homemade Red Velvet Swirl Brownies

Preheat oven 350F/180C

First layer of brownie

Mix butter, sugar, cocoa, 2 tsp of vanilla, vinegar, and salt in a bowl.

Add in 2 eggs until combined.

Add small quantities of red food coloring or beetroot juice. Mix until you get a deep red color.

Stir flour into mixture until combined.

Add in chocolate chips and mix (set aside 1/4 cup of brownie batter)

Pour batter into a lightly oiled 8 x 8 dish use parchment paper for an easy cleanup.

Second layer - cream cheese mixture

Blend cream cheese until fluffy with a whisk or hand mixer.

Add the sugar, vanilla and egg until combined.

Pour dollops of cream cheese mixture over the brownie batter.

Drizzle the remaining 1/4 cup of brownie batter over the cream cheese mixture.

Using a sharp knife or toothpick, glide through the batter in lines to create swirls.

Bake at 350F/180C for 35-40 minutes or toothpick clean.
