Very easy to make and serves as snack or dinner. Always loved Mumbai street food and getting it perfect like they prepare is kinda tough. Nevertheless tried my best. Hope you enjoy
Steps
- 1
First, we have to finely cut all the vegetables into small pieces. Wash all the vegetables.
- 2
Pressure cook all the vegetables (excluding onion & tomato) with 3/4 cup of water and salt for 3-4 whistles
- 3
After 10 mins, when the pressure is down empty the vegetables into another container. Use a masher or some karchi to mash the boiled vegetables and keep it aside
- 4
Now take pan, add 1 tbspn butter. Add jeera, saute it well. Now add garlic paste and saute it well. Add onion with some salt and saute till it becomes brown.
- 5
Now add finely chopped tomato. Mix well and cook. Cook it till it becomes thick paste as water evaporates
- 6
Add pav bhaji masala, chili powder and mix it well. I used MDH pav bhaji masala pack.
- 7
Add all mashed veggies. Mix it well.
- 8
Add little water and let it simmer for 4-5 minutes. You can add extra butter on top of it if you want.
- 9
Turn off the stove. Add chopped coriander leaves in the end. Mix well.
- 10
For making pav or bun, Cut each bun into two pieces. Add butter and toast them on flat pan on medium heat. Serve it hot
