A delicious Sun dried Kabab recipe from the city of Hyderabad that is loved by many. Infact these Kababs are a regular feature in everyone's house during the festival of Eid Ul Adha or Bakrid or Bakra Eid as it is known. After the sacrifice and distribution of meat, the share that remains with everyone is put to use in many ways. One of it is this Sun dried Kababs that's a must. Every household has that Kababs hung up on their cloth strings and I must add that it is a sight to watch. Try these delicious Kababs for your loved ones and enjoy their crisp texture.
These are Mutton Kababs. Lamb or Veal or Beef also can be done in the same way. And as for cutting the meat into desirable strips is concerned, this can also be done by the butcher. Infact one can get it whenever there is a need. We just need to tell them that we need the strips for Sukhe Kababs or Sun dried Kababs. And these can be enjoyed for a long time and are a great option on any day at mealtimes. These taste great on their own as well as alongside a steaming plate of freshly done plain boiled Rice and Ghee plus Khatti Daal.
Happy Sun Drying!

Steps
- 1
Wash and clean mutton boneless chunks at first. It's better to remove all the fat. Allow these to drain thoroughly so that there is no moisture left.
- 2
Cut long and thin strips of this boneless chunk. The size can be long or short depending upon one's choice. Add in all the spices or the masalas.
- 3
Mix well and see to it that each strip is coated well. Sun dry these strips either with the help of a string or directly on cloth hangers as I did.
- 4
Keep them under the direct sunlight for 3-4 days in the day time and keep inside at night just to protect them from the moisture.
- 5
Do this for 3-4 days or as required and they will be perfectly dried and crisp. Cut or break these strips to small pieces. It's better that way. Store them in airtight containers at room temperature. They stay good upto an year.
- 6
Serve these yummylicious Sun dried kababs with Khatti Daal and steaming hot plate of plain boiled Rice.
