Take flour and semolina and sift, then add melted ghee and pinch of salt.

Rub the fat (ghee) into the flour till it crumbles

Add water, little by little, and make dough, which requires little more than 1/4 th cup.

Cover and keep the dough for 10 minutes.

Now we will prepare stuffing. Roast sesame seeds on medium flame for 3 to 4 minutes.

Roast dry nuts, poppy seeds, dry coconut one by one for half a minute each.

Grind sesame seeds coarsely in a mixer jar, add jaggery and grind again.

Add nuts, poppy seeds, dry coconut, cardamom, and nutmeg powder. Mix well by hand.

Now pound the dough with pestle. Make lemon size balls.

Take one ball roll it it with a rolling pin like puri.

Apply little water on the edges, place 1and half spoon stuffing, and make quarter-moon shape. Press the edges together properly.

Now heat the oil on medium flame and fry the karanjis, 2-3 at a time, till golden color. Cool and karanjis and store them in a jar. Sweets are ready to be served.
