Cook white rice.

Make roux: Melt 4 tablespoons butter in sauce pot. Add flour and cook for a couple minutes. Slowly add milk and whisk thoroughly. Add bouillon cube, salt and pepper.

Cook pasta to al dente. Add some salted pasta water into roux.

Heat oil in an empty dutch oven. Add chicken thigh pieces, onion and asparagus together and cook through. Add a bit of s&p. Add cooked pasta. Add roux. Mix all together.

Heat oven to 450 degrees Fahrenheit.

While oven heats, butter a 9x13 glass dish. Add cooked white rice to the bottom. Pour entire pasta mixture over rice. Top with slivers of butter and lots of parmesan cheese.

Broil for around 15 minutes, or until top gets toasty brown.
