Bring a pot of salted water to a boil and cook the pasta.

Meanwhile, wash the zucchini and slice them, removing the ends.

In a skillet, heat a swirl of olive oil and add some finely sliced onion. Add the sliced zucchini and sauté everything together. Add a bit of vegetable bouillon and a pinch of salt.

Stir and cook for about 8 minutes. Meanwhile, cut the hot dogs into small pieces and add them along with a few more zucchini slices. Cook for another 3 to 4 minutes. When the pasta water is boiling, drain the penne so they're al dente.

Add the penne to the skillet and toss with the zucchini and hot dogs. Serve on a platter and enjoy!
