Serves 2 servings

4-6 slicesday-old bread
1egg
1/3 cupmilk (about 100 ml)
2 teaspoonssugar (about 10 grams)
Powdered sugar
Butter

Steps

In a shallow bowl, beat the egg and add the milk and sugar.

Dip the bread slices into the mixture on both sides. Make sure they are well soaked, then let any excess drip off.

Melt butter in a skillet and add the bread slices. Cook gently on both sides until golden brown.

Serve hot, sprinkled with powdered sugar. You can also serve with jam.
