  4. 1 tablespoonHoney (optional)
  5. 1/4 teaspoonSalt
  6. 1/2 teaspoonBaking soda

  8. as neededfor frying Cooking oil
  9. as desired Plum jam (for serving)

    Beat eggs with sugar and salt in a large bowl.

    In another bowl, mix flour with baking soda.

    Gradually add the flour mixture to the eggs, stirring constantly.

    Add cold water slowly, mixing until smooth and lump-free.

    Let the batter rest for 10 minutes.

    Heat a pan with a little cooking oil over medium heat.

    Pour small rounds of batter onto the pan and cook until bubbles form, then flip and cook until golden.
