In a mixing bowl, take gram flour.Add curd, turmeric, hing, ajma and salt.Gradually add water to form a smooth, flowing batter.Let the batter rest for 10–15 minutes for flavours to infuse.

Heat a tawa or pan and grease lightly with oil.

Pour one ladle of batter and spread it evenly.

Cook on low flame until golden and crisp on both sides.

Repeat with the remaining batter.

∆ Serve hot with pumpkin seeds chutney and a bowl of fresh curd (yogurt) for a perfect balanced meal.

Tips
∆ Add a spoon of semolina (rava) for extra crispiness.
∆ Cook on low flame for even golden colour.
