Total Time: 20 mins prep + 40 mins cook

  • 1 cuplentils
  • 1 cuprice
  • 1 cupsmall pasta (macaroni)
  • 2 cupstomato sauce
  • 2onions, thinly sliced and fried
  • 2 clovesgarlic, minced
  • 2 tbspvinegar
  • 1 tspcumin
  • Salt, pepper

Steps

Total Time: 20 mins prep + 40 mins cook

    Cook lentils, rice, and pasta separately.

  2. 2

    Sauté garlic, add tomato sauce, vinegar, cumin, salt, and pepper; simmer 10 mins.

  3. 3

    Layer rice, lentils, pasta, pour sauce, top with crispy onions.

Tips

Fry onions until deep brown for signature crunch and flavor.
