my go to egg drop soup recipe, just with heart shaped tofu added in for valentine’s day!

Cut the tofu block horizontally and cut out heart shapes using a small heart shaped cookie cutter.

Bring the chicken stock to a simmer and add in the oyster sauce and salt. add a little at a time, taste and adjust seasoning based on your preference.

Mix together 1 tbsp cornstarch into 3 tbsp of cold water (use more cornstarch if you want it to be a thicker soup).

While stirring the soup, pour in the cornstarch slurry.

Let it come to a boil and turn off the heat. pour in your beaten eggs in a circle motion. it should cook the eggs in the residual heat, but if you’re worried, let it simmer over medium heat.

Garnish with the heart shaped tofu and any other toppings you want. enjoy :)
