Warm the milk in a pan. Add curd, mix, and set aside for 5-6 hours.

Pour the mixture into a cotton cloth, hang it, and let the whey drain to get chakka (hung curd).

In a bowl, combine chakka and sugar. Sieve with a spoon until smooth.

Add nutmeg powder, cardamom powder, saffron, yellow food color, and all the chopped dry fruits.

Mix well. If needed, add a little cold milk for desired consistency.

Garnish with extra dry fruits. Serve chilled, ideally with puri.
Tips
For Amrakhand, add mango pulp to the mixture.
