Steps
- 1
Gather all the ingredients.
- 2
In a preheated pot, add the butter and pork lard.
- 3
Add the onion. When it turns translucent, add the garlic.
- 4
Next, add the bacon, ham, and hot dogs. Cook until the bacon starts to release its fat. Do not let the ingredients brown yet.
- 5
Add the chorizo, serrano pepper, and tomatoes. Cook until the chorizo is fully cooked.
- 6
Once the chorizo is cooked, add the beans with their broth. Cover and bring to a boil.
- 7
When boiling, add pork cracklings and cilantro to taste.
- 8
Tip: I didn't need to add salt because the meats and beans were already seasoned. Taste and add salt only if needed.
- 9
When the pork cracklings have absorbed some of the broth, it's ready to serve!
