Delicious Daikon Radish Steak Delicious Daikon Radish Steak
My son is crazy about daikon radish, so I decided to cook it with his favorite seasonings: butter and ponzu sauce.Once you add the butter and ponzu, evenly coat the daikon with them while shaking the pan so that they don't burn.Though it might seem like it will have a really strong taste, you'll see that that that's not the case when you eat it. So be generous with the ponzu – the dakion radish will absorb the umami flavors. Recipe by Rapipapi cookpad.japan -
Daikon "Steak" Daikon "Steak"
This is my favorite way to make daikon! It's thick and juicy just like a steak! Plus you can use up a lot of daikon at once. It's a little sweet thanks to the mirin and sugar, and savory thanks to the miso and soy sauce. Kids will love this too! If you don't have a big frying pan or not that much daikon, then you can make just 2 slices instead - use the same amount of sauce! Sachiko -

Our household steak sauce, passed down from my mother. Thanks to this light sauce, we never feel heavy after eating, even when eating steak.Adding too much garlic makes it spicy, so just a little is enough - about the size of your pinky fingertip.I use the part of the daikon closest to the leaf, which is sweet. As the moisture of the daikon changes with it's size, try tasting it, and if it's too salty, adjust the amount of soy sauce used.
