  • 1/2 KilogramBeef Cubes
  • 3Onion Sliced
  • 1 TeaspoonGinger Chopped
  • 5 SprigsCurry Leaves
  • 1 CupWater
  • 4Green Chilli vertically slit
  • To TasteSalt
  • Coconut Oil
  • 1 TablespoonGarlic Chopped
  • 1 TablespoonGinger Chopped
  • 1 TablespoonKashmiri Chilli Powder
  • 1/4 TeaspoonTurmeric Powder
  • 1 TablespoonCoriander Powder
  • 1/2 TeaspoonFennel Seeds
  • 1Cinnamon
  • 4Clove
  • 3Cardamom
  • 1Star Anise
  • 1.5 TeaspoonsBlack Peppercorns

Steps

  1. 1

    Grind all items under "To Grind" to a paste.

  2. 2

    Heat oil in a pan.Add sliced onion,ginger,green chilies and curry leaves. Saute until onion turns translucent.

  3. 3

    Add the ground masala and fry until oil starts to separate.

  4. 4

    Add beef and mix well.Add water and salt to taste,cover and cook until beef is done to your liking.

  5. 5

    Uncover and cook for few more minutes until gravy turns thick.

  6. 6

    PS:- Tastes much better from second day onward. So keep it refrigerated on day one, if you can resist it. :)
