Ingredients

  • 500 gmsChicken (I have used boneless, but boned pieces can also be used)
  • 2 cupsCoriander leaves
  • ¾ cupCurd (Whipped)
  • 1 tbspCoriander seeds (roasted and coarsely crushed)
  • 1 inchCinnamon stick
  • 1 tbspGinger Garlic
  • 1Bay Leaf
  • 1 tspCumin
  • 3Red Chili (whole dried)
  • 1 tspGaram masala
  • 1 tspChili paste Green
  • 3 tbspsOil
  • Salt as per taste
  • 1lemon Juice of .
  • Ginger juliennes

Steps

  1. 1

    In a pan or kadhai, heat oil.  Add cumin and allow it to splutter.

  2. 2

    Add bay leaf and dried Red Chilies. Fry for 30 seconds.

  3. 3

    Add chicken, fry well till its golden brown.

  4. 4

    Add ginger garlic, crushed coriander seeds, green chili paste and cinnamon stick.  Let it cook for 3-4 minutes.

  5. 5

    Lower the flame, gradually add whisked curd and stir till the curd gets mixed well.

  6. 6

    Add garam masala powder and salt.  Let the chicken cook till tender.

  7. 7

    Increase the heat to high flame, add ground coriander paste and sauté well for another 2-3

  8. 8

    Mins.

  9. 9

    Finally add lemon juice and ginger juliennes.

  10. 10

    Serve hot with jeera rice or roti.
