Ingredients

4 servings
  • 300 gramsflank, sliced thinly (you can also use other meat, like the ones they use in sukiyaki.)
  • 1/2 tsponion salt -- https://cookpad.wasmer.app/us/recipes/2654409-onion-salt-2-ingredients (regular salt would do)
  • 1 tbspsesame oil
  • 3 tbspapple or grape juice
  • 1egg
  • 3 tbspmaizena
  • 3 tbspoil
  • 1/2 cupfrozen peas
  • 2 tbspshoyu
  • 2 tbspwater
  • 2 tbspsugar

Steps

  1. 1

    Mix sliced beef with onion salt, sesame oil, apple/grape juice. Store in the fridge for at least an hour. (or all night)

  2. 2

    Remove sliced beef from the fridge. Add egg and maizena. Stir well.

  3. 3

    Heat the oil in a pan (medium heat). Pour all of the mixture into it. Stir occasionally and try to remove the slices from each other.

  4. 4

    Flip the beef occasionally until both sides are golden brown.

  5. 5

    Add frozen peas.

  6. 6

    Combine shoyu, water, and sugar. Stir until well-combined. Add to the pan and lower the heat.

  7. 7

    Simmer for about 10 minutes.

  8. 8

    We enjoy this with steamed rice, but I'm sure with pasta it would taste great as well.
