Wash the lemon and orange, then zest them without reaching the white layer to avoid bitterness.

In a pot, pour half of the coconut milk and add the orange zest, lemon zest, and cinnamon stick. Bring to a boil, turn off the heat, and after 5 minutes, strain to remove the zest and cinnamon.

Rinse the rice until the water runs clear, then add it to the flavored milk and sweeten. When it starts to boil, lower the heat and add the remaining coconut milk, mixing well. Let it cook for 30 minutes and check the rice's consistency.

Once cooked, serve and garnish with a star anise or ground cinnamon.
