Perfect for autumn days—there’s nothing better than delicious homemade bread with onion and oregano. It’s absolutely amazing!

In a skillet, sauté the thinly sliced onion with a little salt for about 4 minutes, until golden. Remove from heat and let cool in a small bowl.

In a large bowl, add the flour and make a well in the center. Add the yeast, salt, and sugar. Mix in the oil, the slightly warm onion, and the water. Knead until the dough is smooth, then add the oregano and incorporate it well.

Knead the dough and form small rolls, about 100 grams each, dusting with a little flour. With this amount, you should get about 18 rolls. Cover and let rise for 60 minutes until doubled in size.

Place the rolls on a greased baking sheet or one lined with parchment paper. Brush with beaten egg and sprinkle a little oregano on top.

Once ready on the baking sheet, bake at 350°F (180°C) for 15 to 18 minutes.
