Chop or crumble the kunafa pastry, then fry it in a little butter and drain well.

In a saucepan over low heat, mix the water and powdered milk, then add the sugar and cornstarch.

When the mixture comes to a boil, remove from heat and add cardamom and cream.

In serving cups, layer some kunafa pastry, then the filling. You can repeat the layers as desired.

Drizzle with simple syrup and decorate as you like. Enjoy!
