Ingredients

  • 1 stickplus 6 tablespoons unsalted butter (200 grams)
  • 1/4 cupoil
  • 1/2 cuppowdered sugar
  • 1egg
  • 1 tablespoonground anise
  • 1/2 teaspoonbaking powder
  • 3 1/4 cupsall-purpose flour (about 425 grams)
  • Date paste with a pinch of ground cardamom for flavor

Steps

  1. 1

    Beat the softened butter with the powdered sugar and oil until creamy, then add the egg and ground anise.

  2. 2

    Sift the flour and add 3 cups, mixing well. Add the remaining 1/4 cup flour as needed for the dough. Do not overmix.

    The dough should be soft and smooth. Shape as desired. Enjoy!
