Ingredients

  1. 1 1/2 cupspoha (thick to medium kind)
  2. 1medium potato cubed to small size(½ cup)
  3. 1medium onion finely chopped
  4. 1-2green chilies
  5. 1 1/2 tbsp.oil
  6. 3/4 tspmustard
  7. 3/4 tspjeera / cumin
  8. 1/4 tspturmeric / haldi
  9. as neededSalt
  10. 1/2-1 tspsugar (optional)
  11. as per taste Lemon juice

Steps

  1. 1

    Wash poha few times and drain the water completely. Set aside to soften. If needed sprinkle some water and allow to soften.

  2. 2

    Heat a pan with oil and add cumin, jeera and hing.

  3. 3

    When they begin to splutter, add onions, curry leaves and green chilies. Saute until the onions turn lightly pink.

  4. 4

    Add cubed potatoes and saute for a min. Cover and cook on a low heat until soft and cooked completely.

  5. 5

    Add turmeric and pohe. Mix well and cover the pan.

  6. 6

    Cook on a low heat until the pohe turns hot.

  7. 7

    Sprinkle lemon juice. Mix well. Garnish with Namkin and Tomato slices, coriander leaves.
