Ingredients

8 servings
  • 2Eggs
  • 3/4 cupMilk
  • 2/3 cupBread crumbs
  • 1/4 cupfinely chopped onion
  • 2 tbspsnipped fresh parsley
  • 1 tspSalt
  • 1/2 tspdried sage, basil, or oregano, crushed
  • 1/8 tspBlack pepper
  • 1 1/2 lbGround beef, lamb, or pork
  • 1/4 cupKetchup
  • 2 tbsppacked brown sugar
  • 1 tspdry mustard

Steps

    Preheat oven to 350°F

  2. 2

    In a large bowl, combine eggs and milk. Beat with wire whisk.

  3. 3

    Stir in bread crumbs, onion, parsley, salt, herb, and pepper.

  4. 4

    Add ground meat. Mix well. Pat lightly into loaf pan.

  5. 5

    Bake for 1-1 1/2 hours or until done. Spoon off fat.

  6. 6

    In a small bowl, combine ketchup, brown sugar, and mustard. Spread over mest. Bake 10 minutes. Let stand for 10 minutes before serving.

took out some of the seasoning and added ranch powder and onion soup mix. turned out great!
