My mom used to make this when I was growing up and its one of my favorite apple desserts (L)

Ingredients

  1. 5 smallapples
  2. 1 tbsplemon juice
  3. 1 1/2 tspcinnamon
  4. 2 tbspwhite sugar
  5. 1/2 cupall purpose flour
  6. 1/2 cupsoftened butter or margarine
  7. 1/2 cupbrown sugar
  8. 1/2 cupquick, rolled oats

Cooking Instructions

    Peel and core apples. Cut apples into 1/4 inch slices

  2. 2

    Toss apple slices in lemon juice and spread evenly in bottom of a greased 9 inch pie plate.

    Preheat oven to 350°F.

    In a medium mixing bowl add flour, brown sugar, rolled oats and cut butter/ margarine in with pastry cutter until topping resembles a course crumb mixture

    Sprinkle apples with white sugar and cinnamon

  6. 6

    Spread topping mixture evenly over apples and bake for 35- 45 min. or until topping is golden brown .

    Let cool for 15 min and serve with ice cream or table cream.
