This is not my picture though this is where I did get this recipe from, so I give www.tasteofhome.com the credit for giving me ideas on how to make this recipe a little bit more easier with my twist to it. Once again I hope you enjoy this and show off like I did lol.

Steps

1 hour 15 mins
  1. 1

Take the pie crust out of the aluminum pan and cut the crust into squares around 3 inches.

  2. 2

When there is no more room to make equal amounts of squares, mash the leftovers together and roll the dough back out with a rolling pin.

  3. 3

Continue the process of cutting 3 inch squares until there aren't anymore leftovers.

  4. 4

Set the squares aside on a cooking sheet until further instructions.

  5. 5

Take the apple slices and cut them into thirds.

  6. 6

In a big bowl, put the sliced apples into the bowl following with the sugar, ground cinnamon, and flour.

  7. 7

Stir until apples are coated with other ingredients. The sugar might dissolve and become syrupy due to the sliced apples but it is necessary.

  8. 8

DO NOT TOUCH THAT CREAM CHEESE!!!! yet...

  9. 9

Take one of the squares off of the cooking sheet and put less than a spoonful of cream cheese onto the square.

  10. 10

Now, take less than a spoonful of apple slices onto the square also. Make sure that there is not a lot of liquid onto the squares because it will be complicated to do the next few steps if the square crusts are soggy.

  11. 11

Your squares could be tricky to fold but they are supposed to be able to stay folded.

  12. 12

Put all 4 corners to the center of the square. If the corners don't manage to stay, apply a toothpick into the corners while they are at the center.

  13. 13

Keep the the process going until you have a good amount of apple pockets.

  14. 14

Preheat the oven at 375. When ready put the apple pockets in the oven. They should be done when they are slightly close to being golden brown. If you want, you can keep the apple pockets in the oven until they turn golden brown.

  15. 15

Finally making the icing... take another bowl, or clean the used bowl, and start off by putting in the powdered sugar.

  16. 16

Next, add the milk along with the vanilla extract and stir with an electric mixer.

  17. 17

Try putting the icing into a sandwich bag to squeeze onto the apple pockets in a few more steps

  18. 18

Back to the apple pockets. They should be done by now if they look lightly brown and let them set to cool a little.

  19. 19

Take the toothpicks out, if they are in, and drizzle icing over the apple pockets, finishing this long way, but not the longest, of making these tasty treats.

  20. 20

    Enjoy it hopefully!
