1/4 smallOnion, finely chopped

Steps

In a saucepan, melt butter & sauté onion & garlic over med/high heat.

Reduce heat to low, add wine & sugar. Stir & let simmer uncovered until sauce is reduced by 1/2. Serve over steaks.

Love cooking, canning, dehydrating, ect. Always in the kitchen. Hmmm...I bet most men would appreciate that. Hate to break it to 'em though...I don't make sandwiches. Too boring.

I'm in the process of making the red wine reduction n I'm waiting for it to reduce. the instructions doesn't say what temp to allow the simmer. there is different levels of low temp. also there is no time span to allow for the rest of ur food cooking time so everything can be done together.
