Preheat oven to 175°C

Grease a bread baking pan

Blend the bananas until smooth and pour into a mixing bowl

Stir the melted butter into the bananas

Mix in the baking soda and salt

Stir in the vanilla, egg and bicarb

Mix in the flour

Pour batter into bread baking pan

Bake for an hour at 175°C

Remove from the oven and let cool in the pan for a few minutes. Then remove it from the pan and let it cool on a rack.

Serve with butter and tea
