My Mom used to make this as one of the appetizers around Christmas and sometimes other holidays, or to give as a gift in a nice container. My friend and I make this for Badger games, football, basketball, and hockey, so we renamed the recipe.

In a small bowl, combine wine and butter.

In a food processor or blender, combine cheese, sour cream, salt, and cayenne.

Process until smooth.

With the motor running, gradually add wine mixture, blending until smooth.

Store in an airtight container and refrigerate 24 hours to allow flavors to blend.

Serve with crackers or French bread.

*This recipe makes about 4 cups of cheese spread.*

**You can use white port wine also if you choose.**
