Ingredients

10 servings
  • 36 ozWhole Cranberries
  • 2 cupApple Cider
  • 1 tbspGround Cinnamon
  • 1/2 tspGround Allspice
  • 1/4 tspGround Gloves
  • 4 largeSage Leaves
  • 1 1/2 cupGranulated Sugar
  • 1/2 tspSalt

Steps

  1. 1

    Rinse cranberries and pour into large saucepan along with apple cider, cinnamon, allspice, cloves, and sage leaves. Cover and simmer over medium-low heat for 60-70 minutes.

  2. 2

    Remove from heat, uncover, and remove sage leaves. While still hot, add sugar and salt and stir until mixed well and dissolved.

  3. 3

    When cooled, you can blend half or all of it to get the smoother texture. I prefer mine as "whole" cranberry sauce, so I leave it as is.
