Ingredients

1 hour 35 mins
  • 3 cupall-purpose flour
  • 3 cupgranulated sugar
  • 5large eggs
  • 1 cupmelted butter
  • 1 cupsour cream
  • 1/2 tspsalt
  • 1/4 tspbaking soda
  • 2 tspvanilla extract
  • 1/4 cupshortening

Steps

1 hour 35 mins
  1. 1

    Sift dry ingredients into a large bowl.

  2. 2

    Add remaining ingredients and mix thoroughly.

  3. 3

    Place batter in a Bundt pan and place in a cold oven.

  4. 4

    Turn oven on 325° and allow to cook at least one hour prior to opening oven.

  5. 5

    Total cook time is one hour and fifteen minutes to one hour and thirty minutes

  6. 6
