Ingredients

  1. 2 cupBlackberries or fresh Peaches
  2. 1/2 cupBrown sugar
  3. 1/2 cupsoft Butter
  4. 3/4 cupWhite sugar
  5. 1Egg
  6. pinchSalt
  7. 2 cupSelf rising Flour
  8. 2 tspBaking powder
  9. 1 cupMilk
  10. 1 tspVanilla

Steps

  1. 1

    Mix fruit and brown sugar in bottom of greased casserole dish. Set aside.

  2. 2

    Beat butter and white sugar till fluffy. Beat in egg. Add remaining ingredients and mix well.

  3. 3

    Pour over fruit.

  4. 4

    Bake at 350° for 1 hr. Or until well done.

  5. 5

    Cool. Serve with ice cream or whip cream.
