  • 2 cupAP Flour
  • 1 tspCoarse Salt
  • 1/2 tspTurmeric
  • 1/4 tspBlack Pepper
  • 10 tbspButter, diced and chilled
  • 6 tbspLard, chilled
  • 1 eachEgg
  • 1 eachEgg Yolk
  • 1/2 cupLight Beer

  1. 1

    Sift flour.

  2. 2

    Add shortening and mix to a crumb.

  3. 3

    Add egg, egg yolk, and 1/4 cup cold beer. Mix, adding beer in small amounts until a firm dough is formed.

    Knead until smooth.

  5. 5

    Wrap tightly and chill for 30 minutes.
